The Shortest Distance Between Two Points

“If there’s a shorter way of getting there, he is sure not to take it,” someone once said of me.  Whether driving, walking, writing, or living, it’s true, I like distractions, detours, sidetracks, diversions, details, frolics, frivolity, fun, and whatever else detracts me from my destination.  It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey, I always say.  Once you arrive, then there’s just another destination to be had.  A new departure.  A new journey.  Why such a rush?  Take it easy.  Take your time.  Give your time.  Have a good time on the way and you’ll find that the way was the destination all along.
